As an intern with The Lotus Club, I got to play a key role in amplifying an organization dedicated to celebrating Black women's brilliance, resilience, and beauty. From designing digital marketing materials—to creating personal usage materials; my designs sought to share their celebrated advocacy in being a soothing embrace to multiple generations of Black women.

I was tasked with designing an identity for The Lotus's Club upcoming digital gathering; Unmuted. Unmuted is focused on creating a comfortable space for black women to speak their minds about topics that often fall silent, as well as sharing resources on how to navigate some of their spoken struggles.

SKETCHING & CONCEPT
Speaking Beyond The Script
To help bring Unmuted to life, I focused on the overall keywords that came from this campaign's goal: being yourself, speaking your mind, and standing out. Taking these into consideration, I focused on bright saturated colors, as well as a suggestive butterfly motifs, directing back to the idea of "standing out", as well as coming up with the slogan "beyond the script" to help empower the language of one speaking up on their struggles.

AFFIRMATIONS OF A GRIEVING BLACK WOMAN
I Can and I Am!
The Lotus Club tasked me with creating a series of social media posts that were focused on vulnerability, comfort, and words unsaid.
I focused on minimalist style and a simplified color palette, allowing for more focus on the messaging for each post and giving the audience a moment to take in the hard truths yet powerful words.

NORTH TEXAS FUNDRAISER
Growing and Giving Back
The Lotus Club were promoting themselves under the "North Texas Gives" fundraiser in hopes of gain donation money to hopes of expanding their cause. To help themselves stand out, they requested a digital banner to be created on their dedicated fundraiser page.
Taking their branding, I developed a design using organic shapes and rounded forms to not only grab the viewer's attention, but creating a sense of harmony and rejuvenation, key focuses the Lotus Club wanted their brand to be seen as.
